Sometimes you may find that a Workshared project is running slow. Typically this could be due to a larger than normal number of users working on the project at the same time.
Try changing the Worksharing Update Frequency in the Revit Options to be Less Frequent to decrease the amount of ‘chatter’ which Revit is having with the central file.
